NHS Cheshire and Merseyside launch and rebranding our social media channels
Health and social care reforms which will establish 42 integrated care systems (ICS) across the country come into operation on 1 July 2022.
At this point, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICS will replace the current CCG infrastructure with nine borough ‘Places’ tasked with working to improve health and care outcomes under the umbrella of the new organisation.
Integrated Care Systems are partnerships of organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services to improve the lives of people in their area. They will be responsible for how health and care is planned, paid for and delivered.
Some of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s functions will be delivered and decisions about NHS funding to be made in the region’s places – for us, that’s One Halton and Warrington Together.
The Integrated Care Board will retain overall accountability for NHS resources deployed at Place-level. Place-based partnerships – supported by Place Directors – will have freedom to design and deliver services according to local need, meaning decisions will be taken closer to the communities they affect.
Since our CCGs were established, the main focus of our social media channels has been to engage and share important updates related to the health and wellbeing of our communities.
To ensure this continues and so that we can maintain an ability to reach as a wide an audience as possible, our social media channels will be re-branding as Warrington Together and One Halton – the place-based partnerships for our area.
Our website will close down on 1 July, but you'll be able to get the information you need from the new NHS Cheshire and Merseyside website, which launches on the same day. You can also follow @NHSCandM on social media.
