What are the Get Engaged Events?

Engaging with our patients is at the heart of what we do. Local people who use the services we commission have an important role in our work and we need to ensure that there is patient and public involvement in discussions on our priorities. The events are to raise awareness of our services and enable local people to learn more about who we are and what we do in our town.

Why should I take part?

This is a great opportunity to have your say and help shape public services in our town. You can also hear more about new developments that are happening in Warrington and in the region. We are determined to hear the voices of patients, as your comments can make a real difference and improve the way we plan and operate services.

Who can attend the events?

Our Get Engaged events are open to all: patients, carers, the public, Third Sector organisations and provider organisations.  Anyone who has an interest in health and healthcare in the town.

When are the Get Engaged events?

They are held quarterly at various times to ensure that we can engage as many people as possible. There are four events a year.

What kind of topics are discussed?

There will be a range of topics discussed– depending on our work and priorities. Our events in 2019 focused on primary care and frailty and intermediate care.

Our December 2019 event focused on ‘staying well, safe and independent for as long as possible’. Everyone who attended was given the chance to learn more about Intermediate Care (care which is considered in between services such as hospital and home) and local frailty services. They were also given the opportunity to share their views and experiences to help inform how these services are provided in the future. View the report and evaluation from the day
