The Quality Team consists of all functions that ensures services commissioned by NHS Halton CCG and NHS Warrington CCG are safe, effective, high quality and reflect the voice of people who access them to ensure the services meet the needs of the population.

pdf Quality and Safeguarding Strategy 2021/2022

This Quality and Safeguarding Strategy has been refreshed and updated due to the expiry of the previous strategies. Due to the pending organisational changes, the transition of Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) into Integrated Care Systems (ICS) it was considered more appropriate to refresh the strategy for 2021-2022 to support the ongoing quality work ahead of the implementation of the ICS.

Although NHS Halton CCG and NHS Warrington CCG remain two separate CCGs, they work collaboratively across a number of workstreams, including quality. For the first time, this Quality and Safeguarding strategy is a joint strategy between the two CCGs’ and sets out the ongoing ambitions and approach of NHS Halton CCG & NHS Warrington CCG to continue to embed high quality and safeguards into the commissioning and monitoring of service Building on the recommendations from a range of key reports, such as Berwick (2013), Francis (2013), Keogh (2013), Cummings (DoH, 2012, Cummings (NHSE 2016), Goddard (2015), Bradbury (2015) and Kirkup (2018).
